BLANKETED FLASH DRIER

Several products, on account of their properties or of the solvents used, cannot be dried in the presence of air. For products subject to oxidation or when explosive mixtures may develop, it is necessary to operate under blanketing gas (usually nitrogen) and in closed circuit. The blanketed Flash Drier, in closed circuit, is gas tight and the centrifugal drier is equipped with special devices pressurized with blanketing bgas to avoid that the product and the solvent may comein contact with the air during the drying process.

The nitrogen inlet to the drying circuit is assured by an automatic system, based on the constant check of the oxygen content in the circuit; the inert gas, sucked with the evaporated solvent, is recirculated into the drier after separation and solvent recovery in the condenser.
